I too would chose to long rein instead of lunge if I had a specifically unbalanced horse. Or, I might chose to ride it depending on reliability of said horse since I am 70 yo with 2 hip replacements and can’t afford to hit the ground. Riding it would be mostly at walk, not for me but for the horse to learn to balance ‘ its self’ better and with a calm relaxed brain ( but not sleeping). My approach is always to educate the brain first so that I have better access to the body as we progress.

Hi Jen and Jane,

yes, all videos and handouts are translated, too. No German required :-)

All the best,

I've just tried to sign up for your regular newsletters but got a box message saying that my information 'couldn't be sent', why I have no idea. I'd love to keep getting your emails and newsletters if you can get them to me. As an author of 44 books and hundreds of articles, and a teacher of REAL classical riding, equine learning theory and equitation science, I have been promoting the type of lungeing you show for decades but it's so hard to get people to change.

I hope to hear from you in due course.
