I'm sorry, but I really wouldn't know! The symptoms don't sound the same, but that's not to say that they're not due to parasites - especially if you had a result with a wormer. You could also ask on the Chronicle of the Horse forum, where there are many more people with wide experience of this issue: do a search for neck threadworms here - http://www.chronofhorse.com/forum/forum.php

Not sure if my horse has this ,but he does have something similar
Small bumps in the armpit area.. small like a bee bee. Sometime around the end of June to July 4th they get larger. They last 6 weeks then get small again. One vet recommended Quest wormer in the beginning of June. All disappeared but one.. and it hasn't gotten bigger for 3 years ,but this year its back.. but only the one that didn't go away..
We live in Tucson Az.

Hi Valerie, so sorry, I've only just caught up with this post! I think when it comes to flexible panels, you do need to take care - there are great options and not-so-great out there. It generally holds that you get what you pay for - the materials that can flex and bear load, without deteriorating rapidly, cost good money to research, develop and produce. I think you are with a good brand there already!

I have enjoyed your saddle stories, made me think. I use an Ortho-Flex trail saddle, that really DOES seem to fit a variety of horses. Just wondered what you thought about the flex panel saddles, many brands out there now. thanks.
